Intro: verse 1: My made-to-measure suit is weighing down upon me shoulders, The trousers and the strait-jacket are worn. They say they should fit better as they get a little older, But now they've grown old, and I've just found my form. Sunset's on the City, so the City's on its way To tiny tots, and time for pots of tea, And though I'm hoarse with talking I've not said a thing all day That you could not have said as well as me. Signs stuck to the station walls adhere to the opinion That I should not be standing here at all. I should be on a sailing-ship, or flying to Londinium At prices quite extravagantly small, But I await a train that's late to do my share of travelling: I see the world along the North Shore line.
