In order to accurately convey the double digit fret work to you I used two methods of symbolism. First, I used the symbol "&", like I have done in many of my other tabs, to replace double digit symbols in a way that shows correct chronological order and shows the beat progression well. Second, I used the symbol "!" to show the beginning and end of the use of a different substitution method. As can be seen at 0:03, "!" is used to show the use of double digit frets as single numbers. For example, 10th fret = 0, 12th fret = 12, a bend on the 14th fret up a whole step = 4b6.....etc. The "!" is used to prevent overuse of "&". And as far as I know there's no other way to fit double digit fret symbols like "10" or "12" into a chronologically correct tab without making the tab a mile long. You could represent the notes and rests as their durations (quarter, eighth, sixteenth) but if you ask me that just makes it unnecessarily harder to read for beginners. I just want to reduce confusion and ease the transition from the tablature to your fingers. I want you to be able to play the right notes at the right time. I want you to see beat progressions and chord progressions and how the instruments work with each other. Last thing, I lined up the the vocals to their correct spots in the beat so you can learn where to sing. I had to use symbols for some of the lyrics too, because some words span longer than 1-2 *'s. In most instances I just used the first word of the lyric (eg - at 0:38 f = for). I used "&" for "and" 2-3 times, too, just so you know in case you see an "&" and nothing else with it. Last last thing, I can't really tell what's being played during Chorus 2. Comment or message any ideas or corrections. Please rate my tab. If you've got problems with the tab, I'd encourage you to contact me with those problems so I can fix the tab or provide advice for playing. Don't just give me a poor rating and not give me any feedback. The idea is for us all to work together to create a perfect finished product. This tab just represents the best I can do. Key: where # represents a fret number #h# - hammer #p# - pull / \ - slides, up and down respectively. #b# - bend from normal note up to achieve bended note. #r# - release bend from bended note to normal note. pb# - on fret #, bend up a whole step then attack and release x - mute ~ - Extend. Play a hammer or pull-off over a longer time period * - time keeper. if you played a steady baseline, you'd see the notes are displayed in the tab in the correct chronological order. & - symbol substitution marker !
