Two Weeks

I ain't never seen a dream come true When I wear my favorite shirt Just to impress you now, Is very hard to do Like the knife inside the memory makes it hurt There's a flower you threw on the stairs Looks just a live as when you left And for the next two weeks I watch the colors creep Into the graveyard that I keep beneath the steps from my burnt out cigarettes Where the rats have made a nest Holding peanuts to their chests Stay awake and watch the flowers die Or go to sleep and know the visions lie And for the next three weeks you see another guy In the mirror when you look beneath the hat, Behind the drunken cigarette, And the beard that hides the face All this happened; one week, I knew I loved you At two weeks I thought "I want to Take this mirror off the wall I don't like this dude at all Take a razor to my face Take a picture just in case Things don't work out like I planned and you take another hand
