From the album: Matter 3/4 time (x3) Butterfly, flap your wings Butterfly, make the earth shake Butterfly, heal this lonely ache Solitaire, solitaire Solitaire, solitaire, solitaire Solitaire, son of him, son of her solitaire Tide times are pure estimation Pendulums don't swing they're swung Galileo and Mr Newton Failed to consider chaotic behaviour Everthing is alone Everyone is alone Purity of maths only thing I know is nothing is known I am the push biker You are the hill near my house Can be a strain Can be a fine sight And the pain in my legs is a welcome fight The Simpletons were a Northern NSW band, who won the Campus Bands comp in the mid 90's then released 2 EPs and 3 albums with related singles. Unfortunately they imploded, but not before leaving some fantastic songs like this one. Another legacy of their existence was the forming of the Candle Records label. Hope you know the song, if not - hunt the album down (you won't get much better aquostic rock than this). Damien Murtagh [email protected]
